Sam and I are Blessed

I am overwhelmed at the moment, so this post will be very crazy, I am sure. The most beautiful quilt arrived at my house today. It was made by my blogging friends for Baby Sam. It came with a beautiful handmade book of inspirational messages, which I will photograph later and post. The quilt even contains a block made by me, which I think is very clever. Anyway, the people who worked on this quilt are... Deb H, Debra, Rian, Amy the Calico Cat, Barbara, Allie, Jen, Dorothy, Suze, Jane Ann, Kay, Deb G, and Granny Fran. I don't know what to say. Thank you so much ladies. And I need mailing addresses so I can send out thank you's.

The blocks are incredible. The quilting is exquisite. I would love to know who all did what on this quilt.

Sam has already laid on his quilt for a brief moment. He will spend more time on it after his siblings go to bed, as they tend to over-love him if he is on the floor.

I don't know what to say. I am overwhelmed. I have tears.

We had a blast making it. But, cute as it is, it can't compare to that sweet bundle lying on it! As for my address: fugedaboudit. A new mom (with 3 others, yet!) doesn't need to be worrying about writing thank you notes.

Read this carefully. Send me an email with 2 words on it: "Thank you" and we'll call it even.

xoxo to you and Baby Sam,
Jane Ann

Oh, how tiny he is! email for me, too, Jules. My effort at simple paper piecing is the boot. Which I deserve, as often as not.

Debra put it together, Deb Geyer quilted, Rian did the binding, Deb H. made the book.

:o) Mine's the "Wild Bears" up behind that sweet little tushie. With a house full of boys, it seemed somehow appropriate.

Your picture is all the thanks I need - that's one sweet little bundle you've got there, and the quilt ain't half bad either.

Sam looks so tiny!! What a sweetie!

I think you already thanked us...and you are absolutely welcome! We actually did have a lot of fun with it! I'm glad that you are happy with it.

My block is the Texas Star with a windmill in the center, in the lower right hand corner :-)

Julie, I'm so glad you finally got it & I'm glad you love it. You said on my blog the other day that you missed snow. Well there you are, a few snowflakes from me to you. I was so happy to be a part of this, & we all had so much fun. I hope Sam enjoys it too, & just reading the joy in your post is enough thank you!
BTW, there are 12 kitties & some dragonflies in the snowflakes. The Cat on the back of the book is the key.
Oh, & no one said, Jane ann made the label.

We all just love you and wanted to be a part of your special delivery! What better way than to make a quilt from your friends. We are blessed to have you and Sam in our midst.

Jules, congrats again on that sweet boy...whose jammies match the quilt so nicely!
No more thank-yous needed here either, and you are so welcome!...I just loved being part of this conspiracy of friendship. I made the "cabin window" block in the lower left corner.
Enjoy that sweet baby!

I have tears too, reading your post. We love ya, man. And little Sam. What Jane Ann said, no need for thank yous or even pictures of the card. (We have those.)

So glad you like it! It was great fun making the block and reading all the emails while it was in progress. Debra gets the credit for the idea, and Deb G., Alaska Deb (love that name!) and Rian went above and beyond. I just did the house block, and some stars that didn't go in the QOV. I agree it's adorable, as is Sam, and forget the thank you note!

You couldn't give us a better thank you than that photo of Sam on the quilt. That final touch really makes the quilt perfect. The butterfly is my contribution. So glad you like the quilt.

My block is the Three Little Pigs block, and was it ever fun to conspire with eveyone on this project. I agree with everyone who said that your post is thanks enough. What a cute baby. I love what you said about his sibs "over-loving" him when he's on the floor. Enjoy!
