Welcome Home

My brother-in-law arrived home safe from Iraq last night. He has been over there for a year. I know my sister and her kids are glad to have him home for Christmas. I said a huge prayer of thanks when my sister called to tell me his plane touched down at 8 pm. My heart will still break at each loss of a soldier. All of those boys are someone's loved one. But mine is at home for now...

Glad to hear that - my cousin's daughter's husband is due home within the next month, so we're all anxious to have him safely home as well - they have a new months-old daughter and he was fortunately able to be home for the birth, but then had to go back. Wish they could all come home!

How wonderful to have your brother--in-law home safely. Hope he is able to stay here!
Best wishes for a wonderful holiday, which I am sure you will have.

What a wonderful Christmas your sister's family will have. God bless him, and God bless all of them still over there. But especially, God bless the families of the poor men and women who will never be home. None of them should ever have been taken away from their families--neither the lucky ones nor the not-so-lucky ones.

Having my DBIL over there has been life changing for me. I get teary-eyed when I see a yellow ribbon on a tree or a mailbox. I don't even know when it will hit me some days.

YAY! Be sure to thank him for us. I have a cousin in the Army - I think he is a Sergeant Major now...
