Just want to say Hey

I went back to work last week for the first time in over 4 years. Boy am I busy! So far, I love the job. There are no kids in the building yet, but I do enjoy the rest of the faculty. I have set up my room. There will be some fiber art added in the not so distant future. Meanwhile, I am finishing up my piece for the Hope exhibit. I have the camo now, so I just need to make the leaves. I showed my sister the tree, and she loved it.

:) Had to laugh at your comment about loving the job so far! There is a special excitement about getting your room ready for the kids and visiting with the faculty at the beginning of the school year. After the kids get there, the visiting with your fellow teachers is more limited, and I remember loving the beginning and end of school for the opportunity of visiting with teacher friends that had different lunch shifts and planning periods during the year.

Hope your year is wonderful and that your kids are friendly and fun!

I love the job - no kids yet

Yeah, that sums up my experience too! I hope you can say the same thing once the kids do arrive. Do you know what classes you are getting? (AP, remedial)

What memories this brings back! It's fun getting the room ready, and the social aspect is also very enjoyable as jenclair says. Good luck, Jules. I'll be thinking about you.

Rock on, Jules! Those kids don't know how lucky they are to have you as a teacher. I pray that you are blessed by them, just as I know you will be a blessing.
