People are Bugging Me These Days

I think I am becoming more intolerant with every day. I realize being hormonal is making me worse, but I am not sure that is the whole reason. I think I am over stupid people. I have had to stop reading two quilting forums that I used to read because I cannot stand to read what these people write. Even in the quilting only sections, people write the craziest things. I am glad Debra created the Quilt Studio on Delphi forums. I am learning a lot from these women.

I need to do my March journal quilt. It will be late. I am working hard on my first Art Image Challenge quilt, which I am determined to keep small. I am also determined to use some metallic thread on it, which I have never done before. Keep your fingers crossed.

On a totally different subject, I have joined a neighborhood tennis team. I am having a blast, although every once in a while I want a beer with the rest of the girls. That won't be happening for a number of months. My tennis is getting better. Maybe I will win a match in the next 6 weeks. Who cares. It will be fun anyway.

My mother-in-law used to say about me, "You know, you don't suffer fools gladly," and she was right. Yeah, it's partly hormones, but mostly your age. When you get into your 30's you stop trying to please other people and start trying to please yourself more (this is a very good thing). A sort-of pacing of yourself begins. You figure some things out, and stop wasting time on things and people who aren't worth the investment. Go, girl.

PS Have you moved? Has the old house sold?

Have you noticed that often on these forums, the people who complain about others are the ones whose posts annoy you the most. The last few days I've only found a few posts on QA that I could endure.

The tennis should help with the hormonal challenges. Exercise is so good for mental, emotional, and physical health, and a tennis team has the added benefits of hangin' with the girls and the great outdoors.

Looking forward to your journal and Art Image quilts!

I've a low threshold for some of the chatter I see as well. I like the way Debra has set the flow at DelphiForum. Looking forward to seeing your pieces.

Do you think that playing tennis with a babe in the womb is similar to playing music to the babe? Maybe you are carrying a future tennis champion.

Jules, I know what you mean. It gets worse as you get older. People tell me I'm a curmudgeon but I just think I don't put up with B* very easily. And when you have a job where you deal with the public all day long, every day, oh boy. Do I have to exercise self-control.
Good luck with the house!
